Sita, (and) the goddess
When Sita was young, they told her to fast for the goddess to ensure a good future.
When Sita reached puberty, they told her to fast to get a good husband.
When Sita married, they told her to fast for his long life.
When Sita was pregnant, and couldn’t fast, they told her to fast anyway.
When she had a daughter they said, “Bad luck! Teach her to fast.”
When she had a son, they celebrated.
When Sita’s daughter reached puberty, her school was so far away, they had to choose between school and fasting.
Sita sent her to school.

School FTW.
Great writing, I love how your poetic talent for voltas shines through in your short stories.
These 100 word stories are so tight!! This one and the one about Mr. And Mrs. Peacock were so poignant. Looking forward to the next one!
