The certainty of EOL

Or the certainty of twists and turns before then

And the joyful encounters and intersecting paths that are certain

Where do I focus?

I think I’ll Alt-tab between them all.

Haha Sanjeev! I burst out laughing as soon as I read EOL 😀 Your comment makes sense ofc and savoring what arrives is a must and perhaps the only revenge, so to speak. Thank you for your comment!

Thank you, Reena.

Maybe we humans experience less time but more intensity as a compensation, than our kin the turtles and the trees who live for more placid decades and centuries.

Thank you Switter! That’s a very interesting thought and I also wonder if there are different dimensions for that intensity and its expression… good one.

Reena, as I approach my 80th birthday, reading your “Certainty” left me in remembrance that I am / we are held by something very, very big. It expresses so much of what I feel. My blessings to you on this day.

Thank you dear Tim and congratulations on your upcoming 80th birthday 🎉

You’re a model for getting on with living instead of pondering the uncertainty of it!

I enjoy reading and re-reading “The Escape Hatch,” Reena, with its almost playful acknowledgement of the inevitable. Have fun with life and don’t fear death.

And we crave certainty in every area but this one 😁

😀Yes. Good one. Although there are those chasing it on this one too. The longevity crowd…

Thank you for reading and sharing your thoughts.

I read with attention 'Certainty' and found it to be a wonderful, moving poem. Our certainty is this life, so let it shine and the fat that it is bounded by death and is therefore limited makes it shine even more. A lovely poem even though, for me there is through the Christian God and the Messiah even more and better to come. Thanks and Happy Sunday, Dave.
