Reena- I loved reading September's thoughts on facing mortality. It is also the month of my father's birthday (Sept 18th 1926) and the day he passed (Sept 8th 2014). I love that you think of your father every day, and I believe that is no exaggeration; probably 10x a day. You were blessed with an amazing person in your life to create a special relationship. And with their passing and your writing you inspire me to keep those relationship we still have on earth nurtured and enjoyed. Keep writing! We are reading....

Love from Philadelphia

Beautiful……. Enjoyed reading every bit.

And being able to connect with ones own loss ( my father ) with yours. Loved the last para, especially the quote by Gandhi . It summoned it up and made it complete thanks 😍

Just completed reading the post. I could connect with your thoughts almost instantly and remembered the times when my own father and then mother crossed over! and how I dealt with those losses. (still trying). Celebrating life at this age too resonated with me, now that I have taken retirement, I too am slowing down. Thanks so much for writing this and sharing.

The one change I request you to make in your writing is to use some simple words for readers like me who studied in Hindi medium till class 11 and still think in native language. Although, I must admit that I got benefited by knowing many new English words today, as I read. But those difficult words, break the train of thoughts and feelings, hence this request.

Beautiful thoughts. I relate to this "yes, I will be gone, and so what?" Life and death Sun and shadow all the same a part of life to be lived with joy.

Vey well said and very true. Most of us realize mortality after loosing a loved one. While being aware of it we still get lost in this worldly 'maya' and forget we too are moving in that very same direction. Life is very short and made sweeter by its fleeting moments and all those people we come in contact with. Treasure every moment and every breath, because in breath there is life! Hugs

Beautifully written, Reena💕

The timing of your post was uncanny as we’re experiencing a roller coaster of emotions after losing my dad last month (he was almost 97), and our daughter getting married last weekend.

It’s unreal how life teaches you to experience extreme grief and extreme joy at the same time, and still move forward with your head held high.

Keep those beautiful thoughts and words coming - don’t know what your source of inspiration is, but these are amazing! 👍

At my stage of life, when losing a family member or dear friend is an annual occurrence, Reena's meditations and poetry put a spotlight on what is really important. Thank you, Reena.
