what a beautiful story! Loved how you wove real life complex social economic issue into a simple yet rich story. Looking forward to more such literary nuggets from you!
Thanks so much dear Tara! Right? I dream of it… perhaps a little tired I am of the chattering cities and the megaphones that “enlightened” residents feel compelled to shout from… you’re on the list now 😀
What a lovely story, Reena. I loved that the worries died “helpless and weak.” I do have rituals that help me. I’m curious about the paradox of rituals: clinging too tightly to them gives them way too much power and not having any can leave one feeling unrooted.
Thank you for the restack @ts1213
My Indian friend’s mama used to make Barfi, I loved it. Haven’t had it since circa 1975! Xx
Wonderful to hear that. I love it too. :-) Thank you Francesca.

Thank you SO much dear Mohit! That means the world. I always love hearing when something resonated with a reader (and a friend)!
Beautiful, as always. I hope you set up that fantasy town. I’ll move there.

Woo-hoo!! Kicking up my heels on a Friday dreaming of this bright, peaceful future! Thank you! 😇
😀❤️
Thanks for the restock @Priya Iyer and @Paul Wittenberger. Very much appreciated 🙏
Have you thought of publishing a book of your 100 word stories?
I read that Free Press article. It was so hopeful. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Haha! Yes, once I have a good number of them, I will. Thanks so much Carissa! Exactly. That article was fabulous.
I agree with Carissa. You really nail this form.
Thank you Tara!
Absolutely loved this!! So beautiful and powerful, I am inspired 💫
Also that the 100 word story packs an impact that is different than a leisurely feel in your original story.
Thank you so much Pragalbha! So glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks Priya! Quite right. Rituals have the power to center us or enslave us; the latter if they become dogma of control…
