I love writing and receiving letters. My grandfather was my first pen pal and I can remember how exciting it was to receive a letter from him, how he folded the paper like a little book and numbered the pages. Sad that not many people do that anymore. Thanks for the reminder!

Aww! Thanks for reading and writing to tell me Deidre! Yes absolutely. I have letters of all sorts preserved, including the ones my husband and I first wrote as best friends... so letters will always be special to me!

I am also very fond of writing letters. My husband was first my pen pal .After 6yrs and dozens of letters we decided to tie the knot.Nothing can replace letters .The joy of pouring out your feelings on paper as well as receiving a.letter from your loved ones is a different experience altogether.

Wonderfully written. Yes, totally relatable. Waiting in for the postman for the most treasured letter from a friend or from my sister or parents when I was away in college! To share a secret....I would often times wait a few hours to open the envelope and enjoy the moments of joy that I have a received a letter and there is something exciting to read in there! And then of course read the letter over and over again. What a joy was the snail mail!
