Loved the poem Ofcourse and yes, totally agree. Accept the mature being your little baby has grown into, but let me tell you..the older version will also need to be babied at times..πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

However yes, we did have our children, brought them up, but don’t own them. They are individuals in their own right.. with their own journeys, triumphs and defeats, trials and tribulations and learnings Ofcourse.

Loved the poem. I have the same volunteer situation in my garden. With the rain this year, all kinds of new things came up. I always say β€œThey chose to be where they are and I’m happy to host them.”

Aww πŸ₯° beautiful and so true. Sometimes when she’s talking to me as the young lady she is, all I see is the baby face. It turns me to mush ofc, and doesn’t help, but what to do :-)

My older son graduated from college a couple years ago and my husband and I had to learn quickly to let go of some old expectations. I think we’re getting better with practice. πŸ€žπŸ˜€ I liked the garden metaphor.
